Music… makes the people come together

Yes, that’s a line from a Madonna song that rings very true.

From turntables to cassette players, CDs and now digital music, no matter what you use to listen to music, it has the power to move. But perhaps we appreciated a piece of music more when we had to make that little bit more effort to hear it – to slip in a record and position the needle precisely to the desired track, or rewind to hear our favourite song again on a cassette.

Sadly many vintage radios don’t receive FM and turntables and cassette players no longer work, but we can still appreciate their design, and wonder who it brought so much enjoyment to when it was brand-new. New in store are these retro music players.

    • Hi Elizabeth, yes we do have microphones from the 50s, with the stand. But we’re away now and will only be back next week. Let me know when you’ll be free to come by.
